The only MLB game originally scheduled on Oscar night(4/17/1961, a few makeup games were played that day) was the Cardinals at Dodgers; the nominees for top performance from that game were: Ken Boyer, home run short of the cycle, has 11 hits in last 3 games. Bob Gibson, who went the distance to rest a tired Card pen. Some lucky Dodger who beat Gibby with a walk-off hit. Winner to be revealed later!
