Dodgers-Phillies Post-game. 4-11-1961

Vin Scully: "In the American League, the expansion LA Angels scored a run in the 10th to beat the Baltimore Orioles in their inaugural game, 6-5. Ted Kluszewski hit a 2-run homer to pace the upstart Halos, while Gus Triandos belted a 3-run shot for the Orioles. Art Fowler over Hoyt Wilhelm, with our sincere congratulations to Gene Autry and Bill Rigney. 
In Detroit, Jim Bunning kept the Indians off the warpath with a complete game 2-hitter as the Tigers scored a 4-1 win at Tiger Stadium. Jim Perry took the loss for Cleveland, surrendering a 3-run homer by former Rocky Colavito, while Willie Kirkland homered for the lone Cleveland tally.
At The Bronx, Pedro Ramos and the Twins made a successful debut as a Minnesota team, while making Ralph Houk's debut as Yankee skipper unsuccessful with an 8-4 win. Jim Lemon, Lenny Green and Bill Tuttle all homered off Yankee starter and loser Whitey Ford, while Ramos went the distance.
At Fenway Park, Jackie Jensen in his first game since being grounded with flying issues, made a dramatic flight of a Joe Nuxhall home run ball with 2 on in the bottom of the 10th, giving the Boston Red Sox a dramatic 5-2 win over Kansas City. Mike Fornieles gets the win over Jim Archer in what was by far the most dramatic game of the day."(commercial break)

"In the National League, Ron Santo's 2-run homer off Jim Brosnan in the top of the 10th gave the Chicago Cubs and their College of Coaches a successful passing grade against the Reds at Crosley Field, 3-2. Starter and winner Glen Hobbie went the distance, despite giving up a bottom of the 10th inning home run to Vada Pinson.
At Milwaukee's County Stadium, Ken Boyer slammed 2 homers, driving in 5 runs as the Cardinals scalped the Braves, 9-2. Ernie Broglio outdueled Warren Spahn, while Joe Cunningham added a solo Cardinal clout. 
And at Candlestick Park, the World Champion Pirates picked up where they left off, scoring 2 runs in the 9th to nip the Giants, 3-2. And it was Bill Mazeroski, who exactly as he did in game 7, provided the winning tally with a clutch single off Stu Miller. Bobby Shantz gets the win over Sam Jones, Mays with a homer in a losing effort for San Francisco. Roy Face recorded the final outs for Pittsburgh.
And here at the Coliseum, it was the Dodgers behind the pitching of Don Drysdale and the 2-run homer by Johnny Roseboro, holding off the pesky Phillies, 4-2."
