20 in a row...

These days, I'm experimenting with opening day 1961 rosters featuring players who were on a team's opening roster, but who later played with the team they ended up with in the S-O-M season set. I decided maybe I better replay the 1961 World Series based on the actual lineup for a change of pace. A couple of guys named Don Blasingame and Jim O'Toole threw me for an absolute curve ball:

CIN 9-13-0 NYY 1-3-0
-O'Toole CG, 5 strikeouts, retired the last 20 Yanks!
-Blasingame 3-run homer in the 5th capped a 7-run inning.
-Every Red starter except O'Toole had at least one hit.
-Whitey Ford hit 3 Reds.
Bring on game 2!
