Break up the Braves!

Well, I decided to reboot my 1961 replay and this time, I have a Braves team that's 4-0, with Henry Aaron cranking a 3-run homer to lead the Bravos to a 5-3 win over a winless, punchless team of Cubbies from the North Side. Eddie Mathews also added a late homer, not to mention a late bruise from a HBP which will keep him from a Pennsylvania trip in the coming week. Stan Musial is also smarting from an injury which also has him on the bench, while the Dodgers had to play without both Maury Wills and Charlie Neal in a 3-2 loss to Pittsburgh the night after the Dodgers unloaded a giant can on the defending 1960 champs, 16-0. Frank Howard provided a giant portion from that can with a 5-5, 5 RBI night capped by a 3-run homer(Norm Sherry poured out 6 RBI from a triple and a 3-run homer).

I'll keep the AL short and sweet, with Washington providing an early surprise with a 4-1 record, while the GO-GO Sox are stuck in park with an 0-5 start and trying to figure out how to stop Norm Cash, especially in a tie game in late innings. Boston has won 2 in a row coming from behind, while Baltimore's trying to explain how their shaky defense and balky bullpen led to a 9th inning Twins killing. And the Yankees... Until next time.
